<p>I samband med mina författarbesök i Vara för ett par veckor sedan introducerade vi en novelltävling för alla femmor och sexor i kommunen. Och idag var det dags att fira vinnarna med ceremoni på Vara bibliotek! Det bjöds på snacks, mingel, prisutdelning och uppläsning av novellerna som placerade sig på prispallen. På bilden ser ni två av dem: Olivia som kammade hem förstapriset med sin rysliga novell ”Rosilda” och Mille som tog andraplatsen med fantasifulla ”Handling”. Tänk att det kom in 153 bidrag till tävlingen! Det om något visar väl att det finns en massa aspirerande författare därute?</p>

<p>Stort tack till rektorer, bibliotek och andra som varit involverade. Extra stort tack till Miriam Holmgren som initierade projektet, och jobbar så hårt för att alla barn i Vara ska få ta del av kultur i olika former 😍</p>

<p>Det här är ett klockrent exempel på hur man kan jobba med författarbesök inom skapande skola och att dessutom ge det en extra guldkant. Här har skolorna jobbat tillsammans med biblioteket, och lokaltidningen som kommer att publicera det vinnande bidraget!</p>

<p class="has-text-align-left">Hur många författarbesök hinner en författare med under en vecka? Tja. Den här veckan blir det tio och nästa vecka tio till. Jag ska nämligen besöka alla femteklassare i Vara kommun! Varje klass får två besök. Under det första berättar jag om mina böcker och hur det kom sig att jag ville bli författare. Sedan gör vi några olika skrivövningar. Under det andra besöket är det fokus på att eleverna skriver egna texter och får feedback på dem.</p>



<p>Förra året besökte jag de dåvarande femmorna i Vara och jag märkte att det fanns ett väldigt stort intresse för att skriva. Men när jag letade efter novelltävlingar att tipsa om var det svårt att hitta för personer under 18 år. Till de här besöken ville vi råda bot på det. Tillsammans med biblioteket i Vara anordnar vi därför en novelltävling för femmor och sexor i kommunen. Och intresset har varit enormt! Författarhjärtat brister nästan när jag ser dem kasta sig in i att skapa karaktärer och fundera på handling. Ser fram emot nästa vecka när det blir textcoachning för hela slanten!</p>

<p>En ny månad, och såklart innebär det nya deadlines! Mitt bidrag till Fantastiktävlingen är så gott som klart. Under en längre tid har jag också gått och tänkt på novelltävlingen som <a href="http://popuppublishing.se/novelltavling/">Popup publishing</a> annonserade ut för ett tag sedan. Det är en väldigt intressant tävling på så sätt att den har väldigt tydliga ramar och det är någonting som jag går igång på. Jag började skriva väldigt intensivt på ett bidrag, men det växte snabbt över bidragens maxgräns. Novellen finns fotfarande kvar, men jag får helt enkelt göra någonting annat med den.</p>
<p>Kanske är det deadlines i sig som triggar igång mig, för även den här gången är det just en vecka innan deadline som tankarna sätts igång på riktigt (inte helt korrekt, förra månaden var det faktiskt 5 dagar innan deadline jag började tokskriva ett bidrag. Så nu har jag ju oceaner av tid!)</p>
<p>Jag tror i alla fall att det kan bli bra. jag har en hyfsad början, en idé om mitten och en föraning om slutet. Återstår att se om det landar där jag tror att det ska landa!</p>
<p>Två timmar kvar av resan till Stockholm. Undrar hur långt jag kan komma?</p>
